Abstract:
The development of an intelligent text classification application is discussed which utilises genetic programming methods. Learning [GP] capabilities are used to effect a adaptive system in order to meet the needs of dynamic-information users. Deriving structure and priority from text, target environments are discussed where large volumes of (on-line) textual documents are manipulated.
