This is my little spot on the web. Here you will find a bit about me and some of the things I like to spend my time on.
In 2003, I completed a Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Aarhus, Denmark. My subject is evolutionary computation, which is an optimization approach loosely inspired by Darwinian evolution. Since then, I have been working for the Research and Technology division of Grundfos, Bjerringbro, Denmark. Despite working in the industry, I still attend conferences and publish research, which you can find on my list of publications.
I've always been a creative person, but until recently I've had to set my more artistic side on hold as work and family life took all the hours of the day. Fortunately, we don't have small children any longer, which leaves a bit of spare time for photography, software projects, and other small hobby ideas. In time, I would like to pick up painting again, but at the moment I pursue my artistic ambitions through photography, which I find to be just as challenging and rewarding.
I'm years old and I live what most people would consider an ordinary life with my wife and our two children in quiet suburban Hammel near Aarhus, Denmark. I've always spend a great deal of time thinking about life, the universe, and everything. I really enjoy reading and one of my favorite topics is reading about mental models of the world around us. Combining these two interests, I've spend quite a number of hours trying to define my inner core.
